Recycled water stations

Recycled water stations

Your plug and play recycled water supply solution

Our next generation smart recycled water stations enable you to rapidly draw large volumes of recycled water for use in a range of applications, such as dust suppression and tree watering programs, without the cost and setup time of standard water hydrant attachments.

Benefits of smart recycled water stations include:

  • cost savings – great rate of $1.35/KL and no hydrant deposit or ongoing hire fees
  • increased safety – reduced risk of road traffic to hydrant operators through use of an off-street parking bay
  • convenience – no need to navigate Department for Infrastructure and Transport traffic management approval processes
  • speed – super fast filling times of up to 40KL p/h
  • automated process – removal of manual record keeping and reporting procedures
  • satisfy sustainability measures

Approved water use applications (subject to Department for Health and Wellbeing approval) include:

  • Approved water use applications (subject to Department for Health and Wellbeing approval) include:

Operation

Access to our recycled water stations is through the use of a pre-paid, rechargeable smart card.

Access control

The card unlocks the main door. Once open, user accesses the screen, the buttons and the outlet coupling

The backlit screen shows

  • either the volume available on the card in m3,
  • or an information message (errors).

Drawing water in standard mode

Screen displays water credit (or errors messages such as  ‘out of credit’).

  • Press the button (+):
  • briefly to increase the flow rate to roughly 10 m3/hour
  • hold the button to increase the flow rate until the valve is fully open (as displayed on the bar chart)
  • Press the button (-):
  • to close the main valve step by step until fully closed.
  • If the card is removed, the technology closes the main valve automatically.

Drawing water in preset volume mode

The screen displays water credit and the preset volume, alternately each second. It also displays  errors messages like ‘out of credit’.

  • Press the button (+):
    • the valve opens to its maximum,
    • remaining volume to be drawn is indicated on the screen,
  • the preset volume only is drawn - the main valve closes automatically.
  • User can modify the flow rate by pressing (+) or (-).
  • User can interrupt the drawing at any time by holding the button (-). Only the effective quantity drawn is deducted on the card.
  • If water credit is less than preset volume, the drawing mode switches to the standard mode.
  • If the card is removed, the technology closes the main valve automatically.
