Fees and charges
There are costs associated with connecting to our network. The fee for a standard connection is determined by the type and size of the water, sewerage or fire service you request. You can nominate the size of service you require during the application process, or we can advise you of the most suitable size.
Fees and charges schedule
This page is a tool to provide you with an estimated cost to help you decide if you want to apply. It is based on your own understanding of your property and the work you would like to complete. We recommend visiting our Connections Estimator Map first to understand if the connection services you are considering are available, and estimate the distance required to complete the connection. If an extension or upgrade is required to service your property, you will be responsible for these costs.
Additional connections costs may occur if:
- the connection from the main to your property is greater than 12 metres
- the depth of the connection is 3.0m or deeper
- if difficult construction conditions exist (for example: existing services and infrastructure in the construction path, underground water, trees, rocks or requirements for traffic management)

We will estimate the cost of this work and provide you with a fixed price invoice once we have assessed your submitted application and a site visit is completed. Your application’s lodgement fee will be deducted from the final construction cost if your project goes ahead. Any financial quote provided will be valid for 60 calendar days from the date of issue.
Augmentation charges also apply in designated areas throughout the state.

Smart meter pricing
We offer a range of smart meters with different technology features.
To access the benefits of a smart meter, you will need to pay an installation fee and then an annual fee each year (you can opt out at any time). We offer a range of different smart meters and provide a personalised quote based on your needs, property and location. Smart meter installations typically range from $1500 to $2500*.
All smart meters have an annual fee of $120.00 (for standard smart meters).

After receiving a completed application we will endeavour to assess and invoice you within 20 business days.
Every connection project and site is different and there are various factors outside of our control that can impact cost and delivery timeframes.
We are committed to delivering connection services in accordance with our regulatory service standards. After you have paid your invoice we will use our best endeavours to construct/activate your service within the following timeframes to meet regulatory service standards:Connections that require extension or upgrade of the supply network may take longer in the construction phase because they are dependent on extension or upgrade works separate to the connection works. We will detail the expected construction timeframe in your approval letter.
