Our teaching  resources are specifically designed for South Australian teachers to help students understand water conversation, desalination and wastewater recycling. They are free to use, can be downloaded below.


The three Captain Plop books are suitable for students in Years 1 to 4 (but have also been popular with older students). Your school library may already have copies, and additional copies are available from the SA Water Library. You can also download and read a PDF of Captain Plop's Tour de Recycle..

A range of education videos covering topics like desalination, sewage treatment and water testing and treatment are available on our YouTube channel.

Environmentally-focussed resources

The Water, Let's be Sustainable education website, developed together with KESAB Environmental Solutions, is all about drinking water in South Australian rural and remote areas. The site has a comprehensive unit of work linked to the Australian Curriculum with additional cross-curricular lesson ideas and a selection of interactive resources for students .

The resource-rich Narragunnawali website gives you a range of extensive professional learning and curriculum resources to develop environments that foster a higher level of knowledge and pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions.
